Fabuloso Recall Notice: Millions of Units Affected



In a sweeping consumer safety action, Colgate-Palmolive has initiated a major recall of their popular Fabuloso Multi-Purpose Cleaners due to potential bacterial contamination. The recall encompasses nearly 5 million units in the United States and an additional 56,000 in Canada.

The recall was announced in February 2023, affecting multiple product variants sold between December 2022 and January 2023

Prices ranged from $1 to $11 at major retailers including Walmart, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Home Depot, Sam's Club, and Amazon

No injuries or incidents have been reported as of the announcement date

Original Multi-Purpose Cleaner: Lavender and Refreshing Lemon (22 fl oz)

2X Concentrated Formula: Multiple sizes (33.8, 56, 128, and 169 fl oz) in Lemon, Lavender, and Passion of Fruits scents

Professional Line: All-Purpose Cleaner & Degreaser in Lavender and Ocean scents (1 gallon)

Specialty Products: Bleach Alternative 2X Concentrated Formula in Spring Fresh (56 fl oz)

Health Risks:

The products may contain Pseudomonas bacteria species, which pose serious risks to:

  • People with weakened immune systems
  • Those with external medical devices
  • Individuals with underlying lung conditions
