MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Youdle) - Tennessee's 30-day grocery tax suspension begins at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022 and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31. Qualifying items are exempt from both state and local taxes. Included in the exemption are foods and food ingredients. Prepared food, dietary supplements, candy, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco are not included in the exemption during this period.
